Marketing glossary
What is Search Intent?
Search Intent: The goal behind a search: whether the person wants to learn something, compare options, buy, or find a specific website.
Intent is usually grouped as informational (learn), commercial (compare), transactional (buy or book), and navigational (find a specific site). Matching your page type to the intent Google already rewards for a query is one of the most important ranking factors you control.
